ALPHARETTA, GA., Neenah Paper has entered into a sales and marketing agreement to offer a line of colored and naturally transparent papers produced by Sihl Paper. The new and enhanced translucent paper grade will be added to the UV/ULTRAR II Translucent Papers portfolio.
"This agreement is an example of how we can grow our business by adding to our collection of premium brands that we market in North America," said Sean Erwin, chief executive officer of Neenah Paper. "These products
fit within our philosophy of premium branded printing papers that are specified by graphic designers and printers but do not fit our manufacturing base."
The expanded offering will give Neenah Paper's customers a
broader range of printing applications to use translucent papers, including envelopes and web printing.
"We are excited to partner with Neenah Paper," said Diego Mosna, President, Diatec Group, the parent company of Sihl. "The company is a brand leader in premium printing papers in North America and is unparalleled
in its ability to market and promote them. Neenah will be a strong partner for us in the North American market, and we look forward to expanding our business in the years to come."
The move signifies a new direction for Neenah Paper. This is one of the few times the company has marketed a brand that it did not also manufacture. In developing the new agreement, Neenah and Sihl also worked together to significantly improve product performance guided by the needs of the North American market.
